Nothing defines spring more than the arrival of fresh asparagus! Roasting is an awesome way to prepare it but it can also be done quickly in a saute pan stove top. Use either our A2 Grassfed Ghee or our Domestic Grassfed Ghee in this recipe. Serves 2 – 4 as a side dish.
Place washed and dried asparagus spears into a baking dish. Toss with melted ghee, sprinkle sesame seeds, salt and pepper, and place into the oven. Roast for 10 – 15 minutes, depending on desired firmness. Toss them one or two times while in the oven. Serve immediately.
Notes
Ghee Gal Tip: Although this may sound wasteful, when preparing asparagus, if you bend the spear, the tough part will snap off. This part can be very stringy after it's cooked. Consider taking the tough part and freezing it for veggie stock.
